WebMD calls the effect small and says it may not matter clinically (WebMD, L-citrulline).

What amount of L-citrulline does a Melonex capsule contain?
One Melonex capsule holds at most 500 mg of L-citrulline DL-malate, and the pure citrulline inside is less.
The label prints a 500 mg blend and no single amounts. Federal rules list blend items by weight, heaviest first (21 CFR 101.36 (proprietary blends)). Citrulline DL-malate comes first, so it can hold the whole 500 mg at most.
